Easy Peasy Spring Makeup: Primary Color Flowers

Easy Peasy Spring Makeup: Primary Color Flowers

Since Spring has sprung, I’ve wanted nothing more than to be OUTSIDE in the sunshine, soaking up the sights and smells of the new season (especially the wall of Confederate jasmine I pass on my walks around our neighborhood to get my steps in!) This has also inspired me to put flowers on my eyes! I’m all about low-effort eye makeup that makes a big impact, so I’m excited to say I’ve recently found the perfect floral look to try and products to achieve it with!

You’ll really only need two things to try this out: About Face’s Mini Primaries Matte Fluid Eye Paints and a dotting tool.

This set of eye paints is perfect because they make it a breeze to mix any shade you’re looking for, and come in the cutest little mini tubes. Who needs a full size of eye paint unless you’re doing this regularly? (I won’t judge if you are.) I also picked up the white and black versions so I can have more control over the color and tone, but you won’t need those for this unless you want to experiment with different colored flowers!

I started by putting a little scoop of blue on the back of my hand, then dipped the largest side of the dotting tool in and placed five “petals” slightly touching to form the outside of the flower. I replicated this on the other side as symmetrically as I could, but I do think this is pretty forgiving because the flowers are so cute that no one is staring at their placement!

Then, I wiped off the dotting tool, scooped out a bit of yellow, and added the center to my flowers. I did everything in this order to give the petals time to dry. Confession: the first time I tried this, I didn’t let them dry before I put in the centers and the colors ended up melting together…not so cute.

After this, you’re done! They lasted all day, yet removed easily with eye makeup remover when I was ready to take my face off.
